What could be better than delicious, juicy, tender, pasture-raised, farm-fresh chicken?  How about 6 months' worth of this delicious, good-for-you-and-the-planet chicken?  At a reduced rate, no less?! 

Chickens bought individually cost $6/lb, for an average cost of $28-$40+ per chicken (average weight is 4.5 lbs--but can weigh up to 6+ lbs).  But, what if you could get a locked-in rate of $150, for a whole chicken-season?  That comes out to $25/chicken.

Our average weight on processing day during the months of January through June is 4.5 lbs, so some will be heavier, and some might be a little lighter.  You will end up with around 28-30 pounds of meat during your 6 month membership  At $6/lb, that comes out to a cost of $160 AND UP. 

All of our poultry live directly on pasture, once they "graduate" from their temperature-controlled brooder space.

Our egg layer chickens are raised on bugs and sunshine, and supplemented with a non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free locally milled feed. They rotate through our pastures, cleaning up after the cattle and goats, enjoying an all-you-can-eat bug buffet, and roosting in our mobile, on-pasture "Eggspedition"--a converted travel trailer we traded for our beloved, paid-off for many years, Ford Expedition that just wouldn't go any further.

Our broilers (Cornish cross chickens raised specifically for meat) are raised similarly to our egg layers--sunshine, non-GMO, corn-free, soy-free, locally milled feed, all-you-can-eat bug buffet, and they spend their days in a moveable "chicken tractor". Sometimes we have them go behind cows and goats to help sanitize the fields, and other times (in the winter) they rotate through pastures ahead of the goats and cattle, getting the pastures ready for Spring.

1 meat share is 1 chicken per month, for 6 months, January through June.
1 egg share is 2 dozen eggs per month, for 6 months, March through June AND September through October
